Premarital Guidance

Knowing and understanding the factors that impact marital satisfaction is the first step to having a healthy marriage. The next step is assessing these factors in yourself and your relationship. In Premarital Guidance, we will explore your individual personality traits and emotional health, couple dynamics, and personal and relationship contexts that can affect relationships. Premarital Guidance is designed to encourage awareness and couple discussion of strengths and weaknesses, readiness for marriage, and goals that should be met before marrying.

  • *One-hour Premarital Guidance session at our Cumberland office location)
  • Review and discussion of Premarital Assessment Questionnaire (PAQ) completed in advance by couple
  • PAQ selected and completed by couple in advance of session (cost $10 - $30 per couple)
*Multiple one-hour sessions can be booked
Three high-quality PAQs used:
  • Facilitating Open Couple Communication, Understanding and Study (FOCCUS)
  • Relationship Evaluation (RELATE)
  • Premarital Preparation and Relationship Enhancement (PREPARE)
